fell apart

can i just rant?

CRS, hindi ko alam kung anong problema mo. bakit ka nagbreakdown sa sem na kailangan ko ng GEs. i just dont understand how you and your team works. sooooooooobrang bagal. it's not that i am putting pressure or expecting too much. i only mean to say that we deserve to have a better and more useful enlisting program.

akala ba ninyo na madaling humanap ng subjects, manually? is it not enough that regular students do not have priority? now, we, non-TriCol students, need to battle with the TriCol students for GEs offered by such colleges?

e, anak ng teteng naman oh. the enrollment process that i normally finish in two days would now take 3. your team, needs to get their act straight. i would really really be annoyed if i don't get all the subjects i need.

you know what? before this unfortunate event, i found two GEs that have a lot of slots left. and, these are GEs that i really need. so, i am really pissed off at you and your team.

i have forgiven you for the real-time enlistment last Summer 2007. but now, i do not know if i can trust you anymore.

a confession

i pretend. we all do.

and, it comes to a point where you can't say what you want to say. possibly, in the fear that you won't be understood or accepted.

well-deserved break

|
everything turned out right today.

yesterday, mimi texted about a free pre-summer ender for clubbers at a private resort in Pansol, Laguna. so, karen and i immediately talked about going. so, we confirmed our attendance.

today, before going to Laguna, i joined Patag, the twins, Pat J, MJ and Chlods for PAWS in Don Bosco. it was very hooooot. grabe. then, it was a really easy task, what made it difficult was the heat.

also, may isang person na sobrang stubborn. he was really complaining about water services and then we were saying that he undergo the survey such that the complaints are sent directly to the supplier. he was in real bitch mode towards us.

after we were done with PAWS, we went directly to Pansol for the swimming. it was good that Mimi gave such good directions because we didn't get lost. or wasn't even on the verge of being lost.

the rest of the afternoon was fun. super fun. we had litson for lunch. and mango ice cream. then we had a group jacuzzi bubble bath. later on, we decided to play pool games. the first was Marco Polo where people had to move out of the way of the taya. this was of course against the rules. but no one bothered to correct us. next, we played agawan base where the boys+pia team won.

it was a really exciting match where our team had to eventually get two members imprisoned and still win the game.

then, it was time for pack up and videoke.

i really cannot narrate all the many things that happened. all i know is that i never expected this day to be like this. so, the moral is that expectations will only lead to frustrations.

hot hot day

|
it was the Freshie Campus Tour Day.

i was overwhelmed by the number of freshmen who attended.

and now, i am tired. i might edit this for later.

reinforced citizenship

|
it's so hot today.

but, it didn't stop me from being a good citizen of the country. today, my friends, i filed my registration form to be an official voter of this country.

i woke up by 7:45am. i am 45 minutes late basing on my target of waking up at 7am. anyway, i thought that i should not worry. i prepared myself to go the local ComElec Office. and, in no time i was in line.

the process isn't really long and tiring. all it takes is a little presence of mind and motivation to finish early. what seemed to be a long process is primarily because of the following reasons:
  • aanga-anga people who do not know what do
  • people who stand in line without their requirements
  • people who just stay there and make chikka
  • people who make singit
apparently, Filipino's still don't know how to line up in an orderly fashion. the moment they see a vacant seat, uupo sila kagad. the moment they see the counter free, sisingitan nila kagad. it was a good thing i was next to a senior citizen who believes in the first-in-first-out system. or was he just in that mood?

it was also a good thing that i've had enough forms to fill for a lifetime. grabe yung ibang tao. it's not that i'm belittling them, but, they have got to think sometimes. the sole counter is usually plagued by people who always ask for instructions to fill the form even if it has been posted already. and, in an enlarged photocopy, too!

anyway, i am happy i am done with the whole process. and, all i have to wait is for my voter's id and chance to vote come the 2010 elections.

The Advantages of Registering to Vote

not only will you have another valid id, you will also have the chance to vote for the person who you think is most worthy to serve the nation.

we cannot complain for lack of progress or malfunction in the government if we didn't register ourselves to vote. it's like, complaining for a product you didn't buy. or destroying another person's possessions. because if you are not registered to vote, for me, it's like saying that this government is not yours.

also, it is your chance to do something good for the country. by voting for the best candidate and his/her future colleagues, you can assure the Philippines of a brighter future.

now, isn't that worth it?

it's not going to cost you a whole day to register. if you're going to strategize, you can sacrifice an early morning to go to the municipality ComElec office. and, within minutes, you are done.

i ask you now, wouldn't you take the chance of undergoing a 30 minute process while taking the possibility of finally being able put your country into good hands?

The Process
can also be viewed from the Comission on Elections Website.

for those who will be registering in the future all you need is/are:
  • birth certificate for those whose IDs do not have their age in them. this really isn't required but to be very sure, bring this and a photocopy of it
  • valid id with address. it is important to note the "with address" part. an ID without address will not suffice.
  • ballpen. how will you fill up the form without it? huh? :D
that is all you need. after you take hold of your requirements, come down to the local ComElec office.

  1. Submit your requirements. this is called the interview phase. they ask you of your age and other things related to your residency in the said municipality.
  2. Fill up the form. it is easy enough to understand. and there are no questions that are hard to answer.
  3. Checking of the Form. they will check the form if there are inconsistencies or blank spaces. they will also assign you your application number and later, your precinct number.
  4. Biometrics. this is where they'll be taking your picture and digital fingerprints. you will have your thumbs dirty as you'll be putting your real-life thumbmark in the forms you've just finished fillig up.
now isn't the process so easy. i wonder why many Filipino youth don't bother registering to vote. are maybe they're just as apathetic as i was, back then.

reliving memories

i cannot find anything to do tonight.

i figured, i would like to watch Bleach and remember what happened. it has been two years since the performance. i forgot what the story is all about. :D

however, i weaved my way into asian novelas. and, now, i end up watching Why Why Love, instead.

culinary adventure

|
i may have spoken too soon.

the uneventful evening turned out to be a culinary adventure for me.

i am fascinated by the culinary arts. i do not think that i have the talent for that even though i've made delicious food in the past. i am the experimenter and i do not stick to recipes. of course, i look at recipes for guidance but i know i have to put my own twist into it.

so, i end up making herbal pasta and italian ampalaya. haha. must have been cool for other to try.

anyway. i prepared soup for dinner. kasi tatlo lang kaming magdi-dinner dito - si tito, ako at si mama. it has been a habit that every meal should have sabaw para hindi mahirap kumain.

i decided to make corn soup. and, only because it was the first ingredient i found. and it was the sweet canned one. :D

the recipe also required chicken broth. since walang chicken broth dito sa bahay, i bought a Knorr chicken cube. haha. resourceful, eh?

the other ingredients can be easily found in a kitchen like salt, pepper, spices, eggs, water and constarch.

wanna see the final product?

i am really sorry for the sucky photos. im using the phone camera for this. and, that is all i have.

i'll have a better camera soon. haha.

and, the adventure does not stop here. there is a supplement to this. something i didn't want to happen but it did.

hello big mound of rock salt.

if my tito sees this he might kill me. might because he owes me for cleaning the house early this morning. haha.

i have to clean up the place now. baka abutan pa nila. i might eat salt for the rest of my life. :D

uneventful

|
my afternoon is uneventful.

nothing new. just plain work.

i tried to watch DVDs but nothing works anymore. haha. i've tried four. and, after that i gave up and watched UAAP reruns on Studio 23 instead.

i watched the almost-win of UP against FEU. it was 71-70. it was a good game. but definitely a losing cause for UP. i hope that next the next UAAP will be a good campaign. and, so does other sports.

my head is spinning. i wish i could play volleyball now.

grave misconduct

there are so many issues regarding the alleged sex video of hayden kho and katrina halili.

honestly, i didn't care. however, what caught me in the middle of the commotion is Bong Revilla's (i hate to call him senator) comments of removing Hayden Kho's license as a doctor.

it struck me, like what? are you out of your mind? did you ever think about this thing at all?

because for me, what Hayden Kho did is a mistake of a person and not of a doctor. there are no news regarding the use of Kho's profession to help put these scenes into video. i don't also think that these videos are done inside hospital or clinic premises. so, there should be no relation to Kho seducing these women as a doctor.

i am not in defense of Kho here. i think that it is only right that he be punished for what he did or whoever caused all of these.

i do not think that it is bad for Kho to video these things, if he were to keep it all to himself. also, i do not think that someone would even blast his/her sexual experiences into the internet now that we see how powerful it is.

i've made my point. give him, what, 10 days of imprisonment? or 100,000 fine? or deportation to Guam? give him whatever. but not remove his license which is not really fair.

experiences i have to learn from

|
it was a great day today.

too flirty for quite some time. yes, i believe that it deserves it's own sentence.

anyway, i went to school for the AcadComm meeting for which i was late for half an hour. but, it was okay. hindi pa naman naco-cover yung parts that need my updates. haha. goodjob.

it was a fun-fun meeting primarily because Grace, our VP, is back. yey! it's good that she's here. i mean, there's the added pressure in everything we do. it's not that there's no pressure when she was in America.

work work work will be the theme of next week as we are nearing the start of the new school year. which literally means, CJSS starts. :)

sending letters isn't as easy as it sounds. nor is it as non-spending or non-sweaty. it is the exact opposite. i'm not complaining. it's just that i had a different view on the matter.

okay. after the meeting, which was fun and fruitful, i headed to the sunken garden to check out the the guys playing soccer.

when the second part of the game began (the first part was groundball, or whatever term it was), the teams needed goalkeepers. i presented myself to be one or was i volunteered by somebody, i forgot. i ended up being one of the goalkeepers.

for the first half, almost all of the balls blasted through me. haha. at the water break, one friend commented na hindi ko dapat pinapascore yung kalaban. which was true. :)) i was not in attire so i couldnt do the best i can.

soccer would probably the most frustrating sport for me since i am not allowed to hold the ball unless i am the goalkeeper. so, ill just volunteer to be goalkeeper again. :))

semi-nausseus

today? i don't know. i cannot say that i am entirely productive.

i did some of my tasks but i still cannot see the results of such work. it was just so blah.

anyway, i watched the Finale of American Idol. i must say that i really like Kris Allen's music than Adam Lambert's. i promise. Kris Allen can be equated to Jason Mraz or John Mayer - which is, my type of music. congratulations to both! but, i cannot deny that Adam Lambert has talent. however, all the screaming and yelling every week seemed so monotonous to me. or maybe my ears just cannot comprehend the notes he produces.

so, the curse still holds true. for the third time in Idol history, when two males battle in the finals, the first singers never win. The products of such curse are Ruben Studdard (my least favorite AI winner ever), David Cook and Kris Allen. when will this curse end? haha. i'd like to see that.

wow, it's only now that i've realized that all of the shows i've been religiously following came to an end.
  • American Idol 8 - Kris Allen wins *yahoo*
  • Survivor Tocantins - JT wins *boo*
  • America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 - Teyona wins *boo*
  • Amazing Race 14 - Tammy and Victor win *yahoo*
it was half-and-half. but i like all of the shows i've watched. and, i still have to wait till fall for the next Survivor season to start. they'll be back in the Southern Pacific in the island of Samoa. cool!

it is in my dream to join the Amazing Race and someday it'll come true. i'll find the best partner and win it.

maybe in tonight's dream, i would. but, hey, that wouldn't be reality anymore.

renewed passion

i've come back to my first blogging home.

seriously, i need to find a stable settlement for my thoughts. they can't be just all over the place like this.

i like the wordpress dashboard better than blogspot's. however, what i like about blogger is that i have the power to choose and edit my template. which is what.

anyway, i've left wordpress because i cannot go back to something i've left for quite a long time. try, 10+ days of no internet. thanks to Globe's TIPID KABIT promo. thanks a whole lot.

i've set this up to start all over again. it's like transferring to another school where you meet a lot of new people even if your name is just the same.

hey, i've got to learn html again. :))

this is quite a new adventure. and in a timely situation. summer just ended and, as i know it, another phase of life called fifth year college is about to start. i am nearly as excited as i got my computer. haha. no joke.

anyway, i have to go, American Idol shows at 8am and its past 3am. i need that sleep!
